Did you think you had to be a stock market expert to know whether a company is worth investing in?
Claude has three new agents that do the hard work: the market researcher, the model builder and the earnings reviewer.
They gather the information, build the numbers, and explain in plain language what is really going on inside a company.
This is not investment advice, but it is a great way to ask better questions.
Anthropic, the company behind Claude, has released a free set of agents for finance. There are ten of them, and each one owns a complete workflow from start to finish. Here they all are, briefly:
Three of them are the most useful for anyone who wants to understand a company in depth: the market researcher, the model builder and the earnings reviewer.
Give it a sector or a theme, and it prepares a full overview: how big the market is and how fast it is growing, who the key players are and how they compete, a side-by-side comparison of the companies by valuation multiples, and a short list of three to five companies worth a closer look.
Builds a full valuation model for a company in Excel: a valuation based on future cash flows (DCF), a model of the three financial statements, a leveraged buyout model (LBO), or a comparison with similar companies. Every number in the sheet is a formula, and every assumption is labeled with its source.
When a company publishes its quarterly results, it reads the filings and the full transcript of the investor call, compares the results with the forecasts, updates the model and writes a summary. It also flags the questions management avoided answering.
The agents install as a plugin in either one.
The set itself is free.
The agents pull data from professional financial data services, which require a subscription. Without one, you upload the company's reports to them yourself.
The simplest way: open Claude Code, copy this request and send it. Claude will install the three agents itself. Want a different agent from the list? Swap its name into the request.
Install the three agents market-researcher, model-builder and earnings-reviewer from this repository, together with the core financial-analysis package: https://github.com/anthropics/financial-services
If you prefer to install it yourself, paste these commands into the terminal one after another. The second command installs the core package that all the agents rely on.

Go to Settings, then Plugins, and click Add plugin. Paste the repository address from the request above, and pick the three agents from the list.
Prepare an overview of [the sector], with the main players, a comparison between them, and 3 to 5 companies worth a closer look. Explain everything in plain language.
Build me a DCF model in Excel for [company name], and explain in plain language which assumptions you used and what comes out of them.
[Company name] just published its results for the last quarter. Read the filings and the investor call, and explain in plain language what changed and what management preferred not to answer.
The agents don't make up numbers.
Every number comes with a source. A number without one is marked as unverified instead of guessed. And they stop after each step so you can check before they continue.
This is not investment advice.
The agents draft analyst work. They do not tell you what to buy or sell. They are a great tool for understanding a company and asking better questions, and the decision stays yours.
